The new cast of The Real Housewives of New York City would not be the same without interior designer Erin Lichy, who led an interesting life before ever making it onto our TV screens.

Born and bred in New York City, Erin is one of the younger cast members in the crop, joining the likes of Jenna Lyons, Brynn Whitfield, Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Jessel Taank, and new stars Racquel Chevremont and Rebecca Minkoff.

Erin Lichy is super successful, from a super close bond with her parents and huge net worth, to a happy marriage with her power couple husband, Abe Lichy.

Erin Lichy’s early life and parents

Erin’s life flipping houses and designing interiors was undoubtedly inspired by her mother, Dorothy Somekh, who also works in the New York real estate industry. Though he has been divorced from Dorothy for some years, Erin’s father Eliahu Yitzhari also works in the real estate field.

“I’m a true New Yorker. The only bull I’ll take is by the horns,” her season 14 line read.

Erin was educated at the State University of Albany before she completed a master’s degree in real estate development at New York University.

Erin is married to successful husband

After meeting Abraham Lichy in 2010, Erin fell head over heels and the two have been completely inseparable ever since. They have a flourishing physical relationship too, as fans heard time and time again during RHONY’s 14th season.

Besides his dashing good looks, Abe has lived an impressive life of his own with jobs at one of New York’s top law firms before starting his own, Lichy Law. Outside of his day job, Abe has started his own fashion brand and DJed around the world.

Erin and Abe celebrated their wedding anniversary in 2023 alongside their kids, Levi, eight, Layla, five, and Elijah, three. The family resides in a swanky Tribeca apartment in downtown Manhattan.

Erin Lichy’s job earns her big bucks

Erin Lichy worked as a realtor for many years before starting her own interior design company, Homegirl, in 2019 with a special interest in increasing the value of the property through renovations.

When she’s not painting walls or designing kitchen islands, Erin still works for Fredrik Eklund, the star of Million Dollar Listing: New York.

Years of selling and designing lavish apartments have landed Erin with an estimated worth of $1 million and an apartment priced in the $3-8 million range.

Erin’s first season was explosive, to say the least

Pretty early on in the season, Erin Lichy outed herself as drama-central as she clashed with Brynn and Sai on more than one occasion.

She also took issue with Jessel’s attempt to relate to Sai’s sad backstory, a theme that continued right through to the reunion.

Her biggest confrontation came during a cast trip as she playfully hid Ubah’s phone for a few hours, leading to the model’s complete meltdown. The fight continued into the next day, with Erin eventually breaking down in tears in the hot tub.

Though the cast seemed to be on relatively good terms by the end of the finale, the upcoming season 15 is bound to feature Erin dominating, and stirring the concrete jungle.
