RHONY stаr Rаmonа Sіnger саndіdly аdmіts sһe 'never lіked beіng fаmous'

Former Real Housewives of New York star Ramona Singer has made a bombshell confession - and it's that she has never liked being famous.

Singer, 67, was an original member of the Bravo reality series, which premiered in 2008, but was let go when the show got a reboot in 2021.

Over the past few years, The True Faith Jewelry owner also became embroiled in a scandal involving 'racial hostility,' and was even removed from the 2023 BravoCon lineup.

However, the star has now admitted that fame just wasn't for her.

'I never liked being famous. Isn't there a saying, "fame isn't what it's all cracked up to be?"' the Real Housewives alum told Us Weekly on Monday while attending the 26th annual Angel Ball in New York City.

'I don't think I was really famous, but I guess I was sort of,' she added.

While speaking to the outlet, the former Turtle Time podcast host also shared that she sympathized with major celebrities like Brad Pitt who were always photographed wherever they went.

She explained that she and ex-husband Mario Singer were captured on camera while they were taking a vacation many years ago.

'I was on vacation once with my ex-husband, and [people] were in the trees, taking photos,' Singer recalled.

'I don't think fame is great, but I guess you have to get famous to be successful in entertainment.'

However, interestingly enough, this is not the first time that Singer has shared this sentiment about her time in the spotlight.

'I haven't been on TV in two years now and I'm more relaxed now, I'm happier,' Singer told DailyMail.com in March 2023.

'I don't have to deal with negative things being put out there that isn't true,' she added.

'For me, it is like the ship has passed now when it comes to me being on [the show]. Life is like a shark, you've got to keep moving forward. I have some many things in the works to look forward to.'

Last year, however, Singer was shot back into the spotlight after a Vanity Fair article claimed that she was at the center of numerous racial-based complaints within Shed Media, Warner Bros. Discovery, Bravo, and NBCUniversal.

She was accused of using the N-word with a black Real Housewives Of New York crew member and saying that 'most' black people do not have present fathers in the bombshell report.

All of the details of the messy situation were revealed in the in-depth report.

However, sources close to Singer claimed at the time that this issue was investigated by the Bravo show's production company in 2021 and she was cleared to continue to work on the series, per TMZ.

The feature also dove into many different 'Real Housewives' scandals, and heard from stars like Bethenny Frankel and Leah McSweeney.

Since 2021, the Real Housewives of New York has rebooted with a new cast that includes former J.Crew President Jenna Lyons, fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff and real estate agent Erin Dana Lichy.
