Months after it was revealed that the fashion designer, who has been linked to Scientology and labeled “boring” by co-star Sai de Silva, would be joining the long-running series following its season 14 reboot, Rebecca spoke of her dynamic with her fellow fashionista and recalled plotting a “fake [fight].”

“[Jenna and I] just had a lot of fun together,” Rebecca explained to DECIDER on September 24. “And she’s been so supportive. And obviously, you know, [Racquel Chevremont] and I were the newbies, so [Lyons] really held my hand through a lot of stuff to just understand how it all works.”

With both Rebecca and Jenna spending decades in the fashion business, it’s no surprise that they hit it off during filming. However, what was a bit surprising was hearing that Rebecca considered a staged feud to amp up the drama.

“I kept joking with her. I was like, ‘We should do fake fighting over, like, who’s more stylish,’” Rebecca recalled. “And she was like, ‘We’re good.’ And I was like, ‘But it’d be so funny if we did that!’”

Following the sharing of a snippet of the article on X, formerly known as Twitter, fans expressed concern.

“Why would she tell us this?” one person asked.

“[This is the] worst way to promote this show, [and] she isn’t even there yet,” another agreed.

Someone then tagged Bravo and wrote, “Thanks for hiring this nonsense.”

Another person wanted to know why “the new gals want to ruin every show,” and others called for the network to “bring back the OGs.”

“If you can’t bring your own real story you shouldn’t be on the show,” someone else noted.

The Real Housewives of New York City season 15 premieres Tuesday, October 1, at 9/8c on Bravo.
