‘RHOP’ alum Katie Rost cozies up to Monique Samuels’ ex-husband Chris in ‘messy’ photo: ‘I flirt hard’

“Real Housewives of Potomac” alum Katie Rost sent fans into a frenzy on Thursday, when she posted a photo of her cozying up to her former co-star Monique Samuels’ ex-husband, Chris Samuels.

In the Instagram image, he can be seen holding her close with his arm around her. They both smiled widely for the snap, which appeared to be taken in a parking lot.

“I flirt hard and when I see a good one; I go for it,” Rost, 44, captioned the head-turning post. “when mr. s steps into the building …Katie says ……. Oh yes 🙌.”

She also called Chris, who finalized his divorce from Monique, 40, in September 2023 “such an incredible human” and thanked “The Real Housewives of Potomac” for bringing them together.

While the pair didn’t specify why they were together, fans were quick to criticize Rost’s “messy” caption.

“I KNOW [YOU] LYING, this is getting MESSY,” one fan wrote on X after seeing Rost’s post.

“Messy and wild,” quipped another.

A third disappointed fan added, “This so messy and the comments did not disappoint!! WTH Chris. I expected more from you homie.”

“Don’t get caught up in no mess girl! We got proof Monique can fight! Lolol❤️❤️❤️❤️😂😂😂😂😂,” a fourth intrigued fan commented under Rost’s Instagram post.

Monique left “RHOP” in 2020 after she got into a physical altercation with Candiace Dillard.

Despite the flack Rost and Chris received over their photo, the comments weren’t all negative, as many appreciated the drama.

“You messy for that caption and i love it. 😭,” one fan commented under the reality star’s Instagram post.

Clearly amused, Rost responded that she said “what needed to be said 😂.”

Then, when a fan told Rost that Chris is “a catch,” she seemingly confirmed they’re not actually dating, saying, “however captures his heart is a very lucky girl [sic].”

Still, a Bravo fan asked the network to bring Monique and Rost back so they could experience the dynamic on TV.

Monique has not reacted to the new photo yet. Reps for the star did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

She spoke highly of Rost when she reappeared on “The Real Housewives of Potomac” during its fourth season in 2019.

“I had one perception of her in my mind, and then when I actually met her, I was like, whoa! She’s a totally different person of what I thought she would be, because I remember she was like the prim and proper, go to the balls, and all of that. So I’m thinking she’s gonna be kind of like stuck up and saditty,” Monique admitted to the Daily Dish.

“And then when I met her, she’s like super down-to-earth, very free-spirited. I was completely shocked.”

“I was like, wow, she’s a breath of fresh air. She’ll tell it how it is. Whatever she’s thinking, it’s like word vomit, like it’s gonna come out however it comes out, and she has no shame behind it.”

Monique opened up about her split from Chris during a July 2023 Instagram Live.

“I just got to the point where I was in a place where I was so miserable,” she said, per People.

“If we keep going down this road and we’re bickering at each other and we’re not able to communicate — sometimes not even talking to each other — then how is this going to affect our children?” she further reflected.

“Because I was thinking like most people, ‘Okay, we’re going to stay together for the kids.’ But that never works because staying together for the kids means that you’re giving them a terrible example of what a relationship should be like.”
