RHOP Season 9 Cast Changes: 3 Stars Exit (Including 1 Who Was Fired), 5 Stars to Return

   

The season 9 cast for The Real Housewives of Potomac has been confirmed, and there are some big stars exiting.

So far, two cast members confirmed they are exiting. One original cast member did confirm that Bravo actually fired her. Several stars are returning, with 2 new cast members joining.

The Real Housewives of Potomac season nine will premiere on Sunday, October 6 at 8pm ET/PT on Bravo.

Candiace Dillard Bassett – Exiting, But Wasn’t Fired

Candiace Dillard Bassett is exiting The Real Housewives of Potomac!

The 37-year-old reality star and singer released a statement, confirming her exit from the Bravo series ahead of the show’s ninth season.

She shared with People, “As I embark on a new chapter after six remarkable years with The Real Housewives of Potomac, I am filled with gratitude for the enriching friendships, personal growth and moments of introspection that have defined this journey. With a whirlwind of new opportunities and responsibilities on my plate, I have decided to take a break from RHOP.”

She continued, “This is not a farewell, but a ‘see you later.’ Your unwavering support has been my guiding light, and I look forward to the exciting adventures that lie ahead — and more importantly, sharing them all with you!” she says.

Candiace joined the show in season three. While many will be wondering if she was fired or if she exited on her own, a source told People that she “made the choice to leave the franchise on her own.”

Nneka Ihim – Exiting

“I will not be returning for season 9 of RHOP,” Nneka confirmed to People before sharing one of the reasons why she’s leaving.

“At this point, after multiple failed fertility procedures, I have decided to make expanding my family my ultimate priority,” Nneka continued.

She added, “Thank you to the fans that have supported me along the way this season, especially regarding my difficult IUI turned IVF journey, and the stigma surrounding infertility. All of the kind remarks have genuinely kept me uplifted and have fueled my determination to continue to share my story.”

“As a true resident of Potomac proper, 20854, just know that I’ll be seeing you all again soon,” Nneka concluded.

Nneka joined the cast for only one season.

Robyn Dixon – Fired

Robyn Dixon, an original cast member, confirmed she was fired from the series and will not be appearing in season 9.

Robyn confirmed the news on her podcast, “Reasonably Shady,” sharing, “Yes, I will not be returning for season 9 of The Real Housewives of Potomac. It’s reality. The network did not invite me back. I was fired, for lack of better words. I will not sugar-coat the situation the situation and say, ‘Ooh I am walking away and this is a break’ or anything like this. This is a network decision.”

“I’m okay with it because nothing lasts forever. I’ve had a very long run on the show, and I just really appreciate that time and the opportunity that I had on the show,” she shared.

She continued, “Thank you to the fans who have watched us from day 1. I do want to especially thank all of the fans and viewers who have supported me, showed loved to me. Whether you directly sent me love or you prayed for me or you have positive thoughts around me, I appreciate you. And I hope I inspired you the viewers, the fans, to live your life authentically. To not feel pressure to change for anyone, or impress people, and just to be yourself.”

In addition, Jacqueline Blake is also returning as a friend and Jassi Rideaux joins as a new friend.
