Since Candiace Dillard Bassett last appeared on “The Real Housewives of Potomac” in season 8, fans have been awaiting her return.
On April 10, Dillard Bassett hinted at her possible return in a cheeky Instagram post with a picture of her standing in front of an NBCUniversal wall.
“ALWAYS a treat and a pleasure when I get to see my @nbcuniversal fam!! Me and these thique thighs had a time!” she wrote.
“The Real Housewives of Orange County” star Tamra Judge replied, “Here she comes.”
Chanel Ayan of “The Real Housewives of Dubai” shared, “Please be back you are needed.”
“RHOP” fans on X shared their excitement at Dillard Bassett’s possible return. “Princess is returning. I repeat, PRINCESS IS RETURNING!!!” one posted.
Another wrote, “I miss Candiace so much and I hope she comes back as a friend or gets a spinoff about her motherhood journey. Also she looks GOOD! Those boots!”
Dillard Bassett Prioritized Her Pregnancy After Leaving ‘RHOP’
Dillard Bassett announced that she was leaving “RHOP” in March 2024 after six seasons on the show. Since then, she revealed that she was expecting her first baby with her husband Chris Bassett.
“I’m just so happy and content and satisfied with how soft my pregnancy was. It was leisurely and kind and beautiful and fun and just spoiled,” she told People in November 2024 after welcoming Jett Maxwell Lee Bassett the previous month.
The “Drive Back” singer added, “It was everything because I was literally doing whatever I wanted. Working out was so empowering, eating whatever the hell I wanted, demanding whatever food from my husband, and he was running to the store at midnight to get whatever I needed. It was amazing.”
Dillard Bassett said that she didn’t regret taking time off from the show and revealed, “I know that I would not have had that [positive] experience if I had been going through my pregnancy, the meat of my pregnancy, which is the second trimester, which is the time where you’re not sick anymore [and] your energy kind of comes back.”
“I wanted the space around us and around our child to feel peaceful and to feel free and to feel positive, without any added pressure, good, bad or indifferent from the show,” she told People.
Dillard Bassett Revealed She No Longer Had Fun After Season 8 of ‘RHOP’
Dillard Bassett ended her friendship with “RHOP” star Gizelle Bryant in season 8 after she accused Chris of acting inappropriately toward her.
The incident contributed to Dillard Bassett’s reason for leaving the show, and she told Collider in October 2024, “I lost my first egg retrieval because of the stress from the show. Chris and I always said that when it stopped being fun, we’d reevaluate our participation, and that’s what we did.”
“There was a time when I would get the screeners, and enjoy watching the show and seeing what the fans would see on Sunday, but during season 8, I started dreading what I’d see when I sat down to watch,” the reality star said.
Dillard Bassett stated, “So no, I won’t be watching this season either. It wasn’t a difficult decision to leave.”
