RHOP’s Ashley Darby Gives Divorce Update: ‘Ready to Fully Proceed’

Real Housewives of Potomac star Ashley Darby always caught a lot of grief over her marriage to Michael Darby. The couple, who are parents to two sons, discovered that working together wasn’t one of their strengths. Their failed venture in an Australian cuisine restaurant seemed to prove that.

Michael has been a controversial part of RHOP. In 2018, he allegedly grabbed a cameraman’s butt. Eventually, the charges were dropped and Michael returned to filming the series. Unfortunately, there were repeated rumors that Michael was unfaithful to Ashley. In 2022, the couple split for good.

In time, Ashley shared that their expectations of their marriage differed. “It’s a really difficult decision, but ultimately I think it is the best decision for us,” Ashley previously explained, “because I just really am a different person than I was when he met me.”

During the Season 9 premiere of RHOP, Ashley discussed the state of her marriage to Michael with her attorney. “Before, I was kind of dragging my feet a little because I was just content with where things were,” Ashley said. “I’m ready to start dating.” It took some time to work out her co-parenting relationship with her ex. And now, Ashley is “ready to fully proceed with [her] divorce.”

Ashley and Michael’s mediation will play out this season on Potomac. Ashley did reveal some tea about their current relationship. “I wouldn’t say Michael and I are friends now, but we are cordial, and we are co-parenting well,” she stated. However, the duo is still not divorced.

Still, Ashley is looking forward to her dating life. “I am very open,” Ashley remarked on the show. “I feel like I gotta test drive some cars and I’m ready to get in as many driver’s seats as is necessary in order to find the right person for me. Vroom, vroom baby. Vroom vroom.”

Meanwhile, Ashley hasn’t had a public relationship since her 2022 split with Winter House alum Luke Gulbranson. That is perfect because she is part of a new Peacock dating show with the working title, Love Hotel. The show also stars Gizelle Bryant, Luann de Lesseps, and Shannon Beador.

Real Housewives of Potomac continues on Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
