“She’s told me maybe in her eyes we were never really close friends. We’re definitely not now,” the mom-of-one explained. “That hurts but I’m OK with it.”
Despite Newport coming on the show as a friend of Barlow’s, 50, the pair butted heads throughout the season over various issues, including the newcomer not feeling like her longtime friend had her back.
Newport added that, for now, she’s going to “leave it the way that it is and hope that maybe in the future we’re going to have a different conversation but I’m not going to expect anything different out of baby gorgeous.”
She stated about Barlow: “She is who she is and everybody, even me in my own way, loves her for it but it’s probably not the best in our friendship right now.”
During the season, viewers also got a glimpse into Newport’s marriage with husband Todd Bradley, 65, which became a topic of conversation after she shared with the ladies he had been unfaithful at one point.
Co-stars like Heather Gay felt Bradley was unsupportive of Newport.
But the Bravo star disagrees.

“I think it’s really interesting,” mused Newport. “First and foremost, what I love about Todd — Todd’s a real leader. Todd’s a real executive. He’s a really strong, confident person and I think you see that in his ability to say I made a mistake and I need to pivot or I need to learn from this. It’s definitely a trait I could work on admitting when I’m wrong and pivoting.”
“So, I really appreciate his vulnerability,” she stated. “Everybody thinks Todd is not vulnerable. That takes a lot of vulnerability to say I’m wrong and make some changes. Our relationship is much stronger because of it because I really appreciate that sentiment. I also think in his own way, when the ladies and I notice something that was off, Todd was willing to fix it. And sometimes they said stuff and I was like, no I don’t agree with that and it made me remember all the things I love about him. “

Newport also revealed if she would have done anything different over this past season.
“Can I say everything?” the fashionista teased. “How much time do we have?”
“No,” Newport began. “I mean, I think the interesting thing is I’ve had a lot of therapy, I’ve lived a long life, I’m an old lady, but there’s no better reality check than reality TV. There is a lot I learned about the other ladies and a ton I learned about myself.”
“So,” she expanded, “I don’t know if I would go back and do things differently because the lesson sometimes is worth maybe the embarrassment or the hardship. But I’ll probably move differently on and off camera going forward, yes.”
