RHOSLC’s Lisa Barlow Explains How Real Italian Food Is ‘Too Fresh’ for Her

Lisa Barlow of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has always had a very strong sense of what she likes and what she doesn’t. And recently, she’s divulged that while she loves fast food, she’s not typically a fan of food that’s too fresh!

Lisa’s always down to share what she likes indulging in and what she stays away from. And that heart-on-her-sleeve attitude has made her a quotable fixture on RHOSLC. She learned early on that navigating reality TV requires you to have a strong personality and know exactly who you are if you want to survive.

Lisa Barlow loves her Diet Coke, Wendy’s, and prefers New York Italian to authentic Italian

And Lisa certainly knows herself. In an interview with US Weekly, the housewife dished on what she loves to eat and drink.

“I would send myself dozens and dozens of Wendy’s nuggets,” she shared. “With lots of barbecue sauce and I would be dipping non-stop. I would french fries as a side. And of course, my baby gorgeous Diet Coke.”

Fans know how much Lisa loves her Diet Coke and while she may opt for fresh cream and potentially a shot of sugar-free vanilla to go with her soda pick, that’s about as “dirty” as she wants to get with her beverage.

Although, admittedly she did appreciate the very specific soda orders of the ladies from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and even rated them. However, for her, pure Diet Coke remains on top.

As for her other quirky diet preferences, Lisa makes sure to eat a banana and have some green smoothies on occasion. She also loves Italian food, but not necessarily straight from the source.

“There are some great places in Sardinia that I will go to. But if you’re just cruising around Italy and want real pizza, like no thank you,” Lisa said. “I don’t want your pizza. I don’t want your lobster that looks like you just pulled out of the Mediterranean and did nothing to prep it.”

She explained that it doesn’t taste the same to her as New York Italian pizzas which she grew up on. “Like New York Italian, I’m all for. But Italy, Italian? No, thank you. I don’t like it. It’s too fresh for me.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City continues Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
