RHOSLC’s Lisa Barlow Is Questioning Her Friendship With Whitney Rose

Friendships on the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City always feel like they are on thin ice. None more than between Lisa Barlow and Whitney Rose.

The Sundance Queen has never been one to shy away from confrontation. Lisa often makes sure to be the loudest one heard especially when she feels backed into a corner. At the same time, Whitney is great at stirring the pot. Even if she is on a healing journey. So, I understand why Lisa might be wary of a partnership with Whit, as nothing feels safe. 

The RHOSLC feud explained

It all started after Whitney went on to a podcast and called Lisa a “villain.” Naturally, Baby Gorgeous was livid. And it all came to a head during Lisa’s Besos dinner. After having it out with Whit, Heather Gay and Meredith Marks tagged in, making sure to go punch for punch with the blonde. Clearly, Whitney became exhausted and eventually stormed out of the Galentine’s get-together. Issues between the two women only escalated. Even a trip to Milwaukee couldn’t salvage their relationship.   

After being informed by the hotel that Lisa had left Whitney’s Prism jewelry in the room’s garbage can, she confronted the Vida Tequila owner. Whitney also called Lisa out for spreading rumors that her jewelry came from Alibaba. Lisa denied participating in the gossip, screaming, “It’s not me, Whitney! It’s not f*cking me!” The brunette was so furious that she called her lawyers and wanted Whitney to pay the bill when it was revealed Lisa wasn’t involved. Needless to say, these two were a long way from ever reconciling. When the season premiered, Lisa told The Standard. “I don’t want to see her. I don’t want to look at her.” She continued, “I think she does things that are so damaging, too. Like, I have given her grace.” 

Whitney Rose has spread rumors about Lisa Barlow?

Understandably, Lisa would be hesitant to befriend Whitney especially after rumors were spread about her. During perhaps the worst Real Housewives of Salt Lake City game to date, Heather suggested the table show the worst text messages they had written about one another. The idea was that honesty could erase all the hurt. But Lisa had a visceral reaction to Whitney’s text. The exposed message insinuated that John Barlow invited another woman into their bedroom.

Naturally, Lisa lost all composure. It didn’t help that Whitney doubled down, sharing she had heard Lisa had kissed another woman while her husband watched. When a friend attacks your marriage, it is hard to bounce back from that. It makes sense why Lisa would want to distance herself from Whitney if she felt her union was being undermined as it was. This isn’t the first time Whitney has tried to set Lisa up. Earlier in the season, she claimed that a podcaster by the name of Up and Adam confirmed it was Lisa trying to tear down her company. As we know now, it wasn’t, but how much more should Lisa allow her name to be dragged through the mud? 

Whitney Rose talks to Monica Garcia

Whitney shocked the entire Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast when she admitted she reached out to Monica Garcia. According to Whitney, she talked to the woman behind Reality Von Tease for one major reason. “I reached out to her out of desperation, because I was so sad to be called a liar,” shared Whit. She said that she had proof that Lisa fed information to press outlets,” Whitney continued. “She told me how you would work with Reality Von Tease.” This allegation alone was enough for Lisa to rethink having any friendship with Whitney. The circle of trust had been broken, and she didn’t want to have anything to do with her costar. Lisa feels that Whitney “makes up sh*t.” Again, I can’t imagine having a genuine friendship with someone I couldn’t trust. 

During the same argument, Lisa noted, “Don’t point your finger at me. Turn your finger back at you. Get your finger out of my face.” For now, it seems Lisa is making a wise decision by keeping her distance from Whitney. I think both Bravolebs need a cooldown period. I doubt they will reconcile in time for Season 6, and cameras will probably catch their feud going on for some time to come.
