Ryan Lindgren will not return for the Rangers in their preseason game against the Islanders after suffering an upper-body injury.
Ryan Lindgren is out for the remainder of the New York Rangers’ preseason game against the New York Islanders with an upper-body injury.
Shortly into the second period, the Rangers announced that Lindgren would be out for the remainder of the game.
It’s unclear when Lindgren sustained this injury, but he fought Scott Mayfield after he delivered a big hit on Filip Chytil in the first period, which possibly could have been the root of when he ultimately got hurt.
This past season the 26-year-old recorded three goals, 14 assists and 17 points in 76 games while averaging 19:21 minutes.
There should be further updates after the game concludes.
