The return of Ryan Lindgren seems imminent.

Lindgren was a full participant in the New York Rangers’ practice on Tuesday for the first time in weeks.

In the preseason, Lindgren suffered an upper-body injury after fighting with Scott Mayfield, which kept him sidelined for the remainder of training camp and the start of the regular season.

Since getting back on the ice, Lindgren has been using a face shield, indicating he suffered some sort of facial injury.

While Rangers coach Peter Laviolette didn’t give an exact timeline for Lindgren’s return to the lineup, it’s safe to assume he should be back within the next couple of games given that he’s practicing with the team.

Lindgren’s absence opened up a roster spot for Victor Mancini, so it’s unclear what will happen once he makes his return to the lineup.

Last season, the 26-year-old recorded three goals, 14 assists and 17 points in 76 games while averaging 19:21 minutes.
