This Buffalo Sabres defenseman is predicted to have a big 2024-25 season.
The 2023-24 season was quite disappointing for the Buffalo Sabres. Instead of taking that next step that many expected, they went in the wrong direction and extended their playoff drought to 13 years.
While it was a challenging year for the Sabres, one of their bright spots was defenseman Rasmus Dahlin. The 2018 first-overall pick had another good season, posting new career highs with 20 goals, 154 blocks, and 195 hits. Overall, it was a strong year for the 24-year-old, and he will now look to build off it in 2024-25.
ESPN's recent projections for the 2024-25 season see Dahlin putting together an even better campaign. They see the superstar defender recording 21 goals, 43 assists, and 64 points in 80 games this upcoming season.
If Dahlin put together these totals, he would set another new career high in goals. However, it still would not be his best statistical season regarding assists and points, as he had 58 assists and 73 points in 78 games for the Sabres in 2022-23.
We now must wait and see what kind of season Dahlin puts together in 2024-25.
