This Sabres forward is reportedly generating interest from a Central Division club.
Buffalo Sabres forward Dylan Cozens has been creating plenty of chatter in the rumor mill. NHL insider Elliotte Friedman recently reported that interest in Cozens is very high, and we now know one specific club that has him on their radar.
According to Marco D'Amico of Responsible Gambler, a source informed him that the Nashville Predators have interest in Cozens.
"I know they've spoken to the Sabres, and one of the players they like is Cozens," D'Amico's source said.
It is understandable that the struggling Predators are interested in a player like Cozens. It is no secret that they could use another top-six center, and the 23-year-old would be a long-term option for them if acquired.
However, while the Predators have trade interest in Cozens, it was also reported earlier that the Sabres are not looking to move on from him or any of their notable players right now. According to Frank Seravalli, Sabres owner Terry Pegula told the club today that he still believes in the team even during their big-time struggles and informed the players not to expect a big trade.
However, if the Sabres make Cozens available later on in the season, the Predators would be a clear team to watch, given their interest.
