The New Orleans Saints continue to put some major experience into their coaching staff under new HC Kellen Moore.

They've made plenty of additions and subtractions in the last handful of weeks, and one of the most recent moves is particularly intriguing for New Orleans' future on defense.

Saints to hire Grady Brown to defensive staff

New Orleans Saints Took Their Time To Hire Kellen Moore, and It May Pay Off | Deadspin.com

According to Matt Zenitz, the Saints are expected to hire Grady Brown. Brown has spent the past four years as the DBs coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Hiring Brown is a massive move for Moore's staff. He was arguably the most sought-after assistant on Pittsburgh's staff, as he garnered interest from multiple teams around the league.

Brown played a pivotal role over the past couple of years in Joey Porter Jr.'s development. Porter has evolved into a strong CB option for the Steelers. Plus, Donte Jackson had one of his best pro seasons last season under the coaching of Brown.

For New Orleans, Tyrann Mathieu seems confident he will be back in the fold for the Saints' secondary, so improved cornerback play beside him would be ideal for a bounce-back campaign.

Not to mention, Kool-Aid McKinstry and Alontae Taylor are young defensive backs who the Saints have confidence in going forward. Brown will play a role in their development.

Brown is one of the three latest additions for New Orleans' staff alongside their new head coach.

He has hired three more coaches to positions on the defensive staff, as Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reports that Grady Brown, Robert Blanton and Jay Rodgers are on board. The Saints previously hired defensive coaches Bo Davis, Peter Sirmon and Terry Joseph. -- NBC Sports

We will see what specific role that Brown receives for the Saints. They've added multiple assistants with ties to the defensive secondary, so all of their titles will shake out in the coming weeks most likely.
