Sаіntѕ' Kellen Moore mаy ѕteаl ѕome ѕtаr power from аn NFC rіvаl for New Orleаnѕ' coаcһіng ѕtаff

Staff decisions loom for the New Orleans Saints. They'll look to complete their coaching staff under new head coach Kellen Moore in the coming weeks. Expect OC and DC choices to be made rather soon.

Speaking of offensive coordinator, they've added another emerging candidate to their interview list. There won't be a lack of candidates for the job.

According to Adam Schefter, the Saints have interviewed Philadelphia Eagles running backs coach Jemal Singleton. He's gotten some notable, recent praise from that organization.

Eagles assistant head coach and RB coach Jemal Singleton interviewed for the Saints offensive coordinator job, per source. One Eagles official recently described Singleton as “a big part of what we do on offense and a rising star going forward.”

Singleton, 49, has been with Philadelphia since 2021. He previously served as running backs coach for the Colts, Raiders, and Bengals. He also spent much of his career at the college level, coaching for Air Force, Oklahoma State, and Arkansas.

It's fair to expect that he and Moore share a strong relationship. New Orleans also interviewed Doug Nussmeier, Philly's QBs coach. Either one would make sense to join his staff with the Saints.

Saquon Barkley set franchise and NFL records this past season with Singleton as his position coach. There's no doubt that hiring him could help Alvin Kamara continue producing at a high level for the Saints.

Saints' reported OC interviews so far

  • Doug Nussmeier
  • Robert Prince
  • Jemal Singleton

Regardless of the OC hire, Moore has already stated that he will call offensive plays for New Orleans as the head coach.
