Sаіntѕ ѕһould conѕіder а reunіon between Keenаn Allen аnd Kellen Moore

A reunion between Kellen Moore and his former Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen should remain on the table even after the 2025 NFL draft.

Last year, the New Orleans Saints lost the war of attrition in the wide receiver room after Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed went down to injury. Their absence reaffirmed just how shallow that position was. Brandin Cooks returned to New Orleans as a free agent, and he shouldn’t be the only wide receiver experiencing a reunion in New Orleans this season.

Allen experienced one of his best statistical seasons of his career when Moore was the Los Angeles Chargers’ offensive coordinator. He totaled 1,243 receiving yards, second-best of his career, and averaged a career-high 95.6 yards per game. He's spoken often about how much he enjoyed playing in Moore's system.

Cooks provided depth, and the Saints definitely need to bolster their depth, but Allen gives you the size New Orleans needs at the position. New Orleans could even target Allen if they pick a wide receiver in the draft, depending on where they make that selection. Olave, Shaheed, Cooks, Allen and a potential rookie would significantly improve on last year’s receiving corps by infusing depth and talent. Allen has previously said he would rather play for a team he's suited up for before, but the Saints have the salary cap resources to make a year in New Orleans worth his while.
