Saints' Cam Jordan makes a nearly unbelievable bold claim about New Orleans' current roster ahead of 2025 NFL Draft

The New Orleans Saints have a lot of older players on their roster. That's no secret. Their defense, in particular, boasts some notable veterans like Demario Davis, Tyrann Mathieu, and Cameron Jordan. All three of which need to perform next season if the Saints want to see the postseason.

With that, leadership from those players is always a must. All three are very well respected in their locker room, and Jordan has never been shy about standing up for his teammates or thinking that his team will outperform expectations.

In a recent appearance on NFL Network, the experienced pass rusher made a bold statement regarding his team.

Cam Jordan makes bold claim

The former Pro Bowler and veteran pass rusher thinks that the Saints are a top two team when healthy. Clearly, there's no lack of confidence in himself, his teammates, and New Orleans' coaching staff.

I'm all about confidence. Believe in your team - even if no one else truly does.

That's a large basis in sports. Coaches want to coach players that have each others' backs. Jordan certainly checks that box.

That being said, these sort of comments do put a bit of a target on your back. Division rivals, other players around the league, and potentially even players on your own team may not see things the same when it comes to this lofty projection for New Orleans.

From a roster standpoint alone, it is basically impossible to think that Jordan's claim will be proven true next season. Even with some former Pro Bowlers on both sides of the football, there are a sizable amount of teams with more talent than the Saints will have in Kellen Moore's first season.
