The New Orleans Saints are conducting an offensive coordinator interview on Saturday night.
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero , the team is interviewing Miami Dolphins wide receivers coach Robert Prince.
Prince was just hired by the Dolphins at the end of January, spending three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys prior to that. So, obviously there are some Kellen Moore ties there. It also goes deeper than that, as they were both at Boise State when Moore was playing. That was in 2011, and Prince stayed through 2013.
Prince, who turns 60 in early May, has been coaching since 1989 and got his NFL start in 2004. He had a long run with the Detroit Lions from 2014-2020, even serving as the acting head coach in his final year there.
Kellen Moore has added two new coaches to his staff since joining the team this week, bringing on Brendan Nugent for the offensive line and Chase Haslett for the tight end room. He also retained Keith Williams for the wide receiver group.
Over the next week, we should only hear more about potential interviews and hires for New Orleans as they look to build out an almost brand new coaching staff. The Scouting Combine is in less than two weeks, but the Saints aren't putting any type of deadline for when they'll have their staff in place.
