Saints' latest injury report has things trending in the right direction for multiple starters ahead of Browns game

The New Orleans Saints are getting healthier on both sides of the football, in some cases.

Erik McCoy ready to return

The star center for New Orleans is set to come back to the field for the first time since suffering a groin injury in Week 3.

The Saints' offensive line needs him back. He is a leader and adjuster at the line of scrimmage alongside quarterback Derek Carr. Protection is much clearer when he starts in the middle for the Saints.

Latest on McKinstry, Howden

The secondary for New Orleans has been beat up over the past month of play. Kool-Aid McKinstry, a rookie cornerback, could return this week, though. He will start outside, alongside Alontae Taylor. Expect Ugo Amadi to get starting reps in the slot.

As for Howden, he will be the team's third safety option behind Tyrann Mathieu and Will Harris. He also plays special teams.

Lucas Patrick, Pete Werner, and Jamaal Williams were the only three players to not practice for the Saints on Thursday.
