The New Orleans Saints should have their eyes set on the offseason after their latest loss, dropping them to 5-9 on the season. Accordingly, the 2025 NFL Draft will garner plenty of focus. As of now, they hold the tenth overall pick.
The Saints roster is aging, and they could go plenty of places early in the draft. In A to Z Sports' latest three-round mock draft, they attacked a couple of offensive needs early. Then, they took a potential defensive starter in the future in round three.
10. New Orleans Saints: Kelvin Banks, OT, Texas
The Saints are happy to have their pick of the litter when it comes to offensive tackles here, and they select a day-one starter via Kelvin Banks. - Rob Gregson
Banks is arguably the top OT in the class. He is a massive lineman with upside that most other OL prospects in this class do not possess. New Orleans needs more competition on the offensive line, and Banks could replace Trevor Penning.
Banks is a fun watch for those of us who enjoy studying offensive line play. His mixture of athleticism, intelligence, and savviness blend well together in his 6'4, 324-pound frame. While there may be concerns about his length and play strength, there's no denying Banks has some of the best film of any lineman in this 2025 NFL Draft class. -- AJ Schulte, A to Z Sports
The Longhorns lineman is the top offensive lineman in the class in A to Z's rankings. He's the sixth overall ranked player.
42. New Orleans Saints: Xavier Restrepo, WR, Miami (FL)
The Saints are thin at WR and they need a reliable threat on third down. Restrepo has those talents and will be an easy selection for a team that lacks a lot of talent on the perimeter. - Rob Gregson
Love it. Love this pick for the Saints. Regardless of the quarterback next year, the Saints need another consistent target, with impressive hands, particularly.
Restrepo has some of the best hands in the entire class, and he plays a little bit bigger than his 5'10 frame would lead you to believe. He fits in well with Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, and a large tight end room in New Orleans.
The Canes wideout also has greater after-the-catch ability than other options in New Orleans' passing game currently. He doesn't mind contact and is slippery with the football in his hands.
74. New Orleans Saints: Jabbar Muhammad, CB, Oregon
The Saints are amidst a rebuild, but particularly in their secondary after trading away star CB Marshon Lattimore. They can find their next locksmith on the corner of the defense with Jabbar Muhammad. - Rob Gregson
Muhammad is a nice piece for the secondary, especially in round three. He's a smaller corner, but the Saints may look to improve in the slot. Muhammad has spent time outside, too, though.
He's not particularly limited to an inside role because of his sticky coverage in man and growing abilities in zone. With thin depth, New Orleans may look to add multiple cornerbacks in the draft and free agency. Muhammad could fit that billing, if they choose a different positional route early in the draft.
Jabbar Muhammad shows a lot of promise as a versatile cornerback with solid technique and impressive ball skills. His ability to excel in both man and zone coverage makes him an intriguing prospect. However, his smaller frame and issues with tackling consistency might limit his effectiveness against bigger, more physical NFL receivers. Muhammad's knack for staying in phase and disrupting passes will serve him well at the next level. -- NFL Draft Buzz
This haul is an impressive one for the Saints. They should be happy if they land this sort of trio in the upcoming draft.
