Rashid Shaheed của Saints có bước tiến lớn đầu tiên hướng tới sự trở lại sau chấn thương nghiêm trọng

The New Orleans Saints are dealing with plenty of tough injuries on both sides of the football. One of the fan base's favorite players on offense is on a trek back to the field at full strength next season.

Rashid Shaheed's recovery

Shaheed is back to walking and moving around smoothly following his knee surgery earlier this season. He's moving around well without a brace or any support from crutches or a boot.

Shaheed will not return this season, but his first steps in his return are rather important. He's a key offensive piece to New Orleans' future, so it's important that his recovery goes smoothy.

The speedster injured his knee against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7 during a loss.

The wide receiver underwent meniscus surgery following that game and was placed on season-ending injured reserve. It was a tough break that hurt the unit immensely when it came to pushing the ball downfield.

Elsewhere in the wide receiver room, Chris Olave remains on injured reserve due to his second concussion of the season. We do not know if he will play again this season yet or not.

Kevin Austin Jr. and Marquez Valdez-Scantling have both emerged as pieces on the depth chart to complete this season. Bub Means is also on injured reserve due to injury, so his return is up in the air, too.

During the offseason, we will see how aggressive the Saints are in adding more depth to the WR room. Shaheed's return will be an important one for next year.
