The New Orleans Saints are still picking in the top ten of the 2025 NFL Draft after twelve weeks of play.
Accordingly, there is plenty to watch when it comes to mock drafts. Many fans are hopeful that the wins keep coming under interim head coach Darren Rizzi, but if they don't, the draft will be even more vital to the future of the team.
Ryan Roberts of A to Z Sports just unveiled a new mock draft ahead of Week 13 action.
Saints' picks in latest A to Z Sports mock draft
9. New Orleans Saints: Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M
Finding a compliment to Carl Granderson on the edge is a must this offseason. Chase Young is just on a one-year deal, and Scourton is a tremendous talent. He’s gotten better and better down the stretch for the Aggies. -- Ryan Roberts
Scourton is an exciting prospect that would instantly boost the pass rush in New Orleans.
The need is clear. The Saints have been one of the worst defenses at pressuring the QB, and they may lose Payton Turner and Tanoh Kpassagnon in free agency, alongside Young.
44. New Orleans Saints: Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon
Th interior has had weak instances this season for the black and gold, too. Bryan Bresee has struggled in the run game, and Khalen Saunders nor Nathan Shepherd are long-term fixes at tackle.
Harmon would step into a role where he could take snaps immediately in New Orleans. He's a talented mover on the DL and can make impact plays in both the pass and run game.
75. New Orleans Saints: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss
Last but not least, the Saints grab a quarterback.
Dart is one of the most intriguing passers in this class, with some analysts projecting him to go in round one. Others, on the other hand, see him as a round 3-5 type of QB in the upcoming class. You'll even see him mocked in the top five picks of the first round in some mock drafts right now.
If the Saints continue to put together wins, taking a QB in round one seems much less likely. The class lacks depth at the top, and only two or three may go in the first round, simply because of need around the NFL.
Dart has a name fitting for his draft outlook and projection here for the Saints. He's a dart throw in round three to be a potential long-term answer at the position.
If you can give Jaxson Dart a solid surrounding cast and creative offensive mind who will incorporate RPOs, quick throws and isolated receivers who can compete for deep passes, he can reward a franchise as a quality long-term starter. He's a good athlete with high-end processing, so dropping him into a starting job in 2025 can work. He has tendencies to fade when under pressure and in the season's biggest games, so Dart has to grow in those defining moments. We could see him going in Round 1 despite his lower grade, but he's a situation-dependent quarterback who may not thrive anywhere. -- Ian Valentino
Dart's player comparison via Valentino is Baker Mayfield, another QB in the NFC South currently. The Ole Miss QB is ranked 83rd overall in the A to Z Sports 2025 draft class prospect rankings.
