There's been plenty of frustration recently from rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers. The young New York Giants talent hasn't seen nearly as much production over the past handful of games, compared to the start of his season.
Alongside his lack of involvement, New York has lost eight games in a row. Nabers did not have an ultra-productive game against the New Orleans Saints in the team's loss in Week 14, either.
He was nearly invisible until the fourth quarter when the G-Men had to throw the football on nearly every offensive play. During the game, there was a comment heard on the field that many thought came from Nabers.
It actually came from a Saints star, though. What was said?
“Y’all f***ing calling plays like I ain’t out there.”
Mathieu clarifies
Tyrann Mathieu took ownership of the statement. It was an excited shout by the veteran safety while New Orleans found some continued success in stopping the Giants running game.
There was plenty of heat on Nabers after the game due to the comment, but in reality, he did not even say it.
The young wideout has caught flack in recent weeks because of his strong comments about the decision to cut ties with Daniel Jones, his usage, among other things surrounding the Giants' issues.
This time, though, he should shoulder no blame or frustration from his team's fan base.
