Scheana Shay's Husband Brock Davies Breaks His Silence on His "Sexual Affair": "I'm Sorry"

Brock Davies is "proud" of his wife, Scheana Shay, for telling her story in her new memoir, My Good Side — even if that meant opening up about his affair, which took place in 2020 while she was pregnant with their daughter, Summer Moon Honey Davies.

In My Good Side, the Vanderpump Rules alum wrote about how Brock had betrayed their relationship by having an affair while she was pregnant. And now, Brock is sharing his side of the story, after Scheana "had every right to tell" her story about his cheating on her.

Brock appeared on Scheana's podcast, Scheananigans with Scheana Shay, on July 25, where he praised his wife for being brave to share her life with the world in her new book, while clearing the air on his side of things. "I'm proud of you for telling your story," he said. "And I'm sorry for this being a part of your story."

During the podcast, Brock admitted that he had a "sexual affair" with a woman he had met before he started dating Scheana. "There was no dating. There was no courting," he continued. "It was just purely that meet up. And then we had sex. And it happened multiple times over a three-week span, and I felt horrible about it. And I was like, 'This is not OK. I'm not doing this.'"

Brock recently took to his Instagram account, where he opened up about what has gone on behind the scenes in their marriage. "For the last two years, we have been privately doing the hard work of rebuilding what I broke," he wrote in the caption of the post. "You have seen me as a husband and as a father, and that work will never stop. This moment is about publicly owning and taking accountability for my failures. Just to be clear, I'm not going anywhere."

In a letter penned to Scheana also shared in the Instagram post, Brock apologized to Scheana. He writes, "When I told you the truth, I knew there would be consequences, both personal and public. But none of that compares to what I did to you and our young family. I crossed a line that should have never been crossed. I betrayed the woman who believed in me, and in doing so, I damaged something real between us. This is what hurts the most."

Brock Davies opens up about being "scared about being a father again"

In the chapter that Scheana wrote about the affair, she revealed that Brock had admitted to her that he had an affair while she was pregnant because he was "scared about being a father again." The New Zealand native is the dad to two children who currently live in Australia with his ex, and faced criticism in the past for the relationship that he has with them.

"I apologize for even saying that," he said during the podcast. "I think I just didn't know how to handle that at all. And I think, inherently, I always deflected to just the worst version of myself, which was just dismissing it and just ignoring those things...I was scared about being a parent again. I believed what I read. I believed I was a bad dad."

Brock continued, noting that he is so grateful to Scheana for giving him a second chance in their relationship and being a dad to their daughter. "I think everyone deserves a second chance," he said.

"I think everyone deserves a second chance," he continued. "You just can't f—k up that second chance. You know, you have to understand the rules of the game... Life needs to be respected. You need to respect other people. This is not just me anymore."
