Scheana Shay Shares Her Frustration Over Ariana Madix's Apparent Support for 'Vanderpump Rules' Ending: “It’s Kind of Frustrating”

Scheana Shay is speaking out after her best friend Vanderpump Rules co-star Ariana Madix seemed to indicate recently that she was in favor of the Bravo series not returning for Season 12.

Scheana was asked on the May 17 episode of her Scheananigans podcast to address an Instagram fan poll that Ariana participated in, reportedly voting that she believed Season 11 was the last for ‘Vanderpump Rules.’

In response, Scheana rattled off the list of projects Ariana is currently involved in–- which include a return to Broadway and a new hosting gig on Love Island–- noting that Ariana has plenty on her calendar to keep her booked and busy for the foreseeable future. However, Scheana admitted that she was not thrilled to see Ariana voting to see their Bravo paychecks their show come to an end.

“As her friend, I fully support her pursuing her dreams,” Scheana said. “I always have. I’ve said that multiple times. It’s like, if ‘Vanderpump Rules’ and reality TV no longer serve her, then on to the next thing.”

“I’m way ahead of you, girl.”

Scheana went on to add that if Ariana has determined that it’s time to move on from the Bravo series, she would understand. Still, she admitted that Ariana’s vote in the online poll left her feeling bothered on behalf of herself and the rest of the cast who openly wish to see the show continue.

“As her coworker, if this is true, I mean, it’s kind of frustrating that she would advocate for the end of a work project that is a big part of my business and what Lala [Kent] and I as moms do to support our families,” Scheana said. “So that’s what’s tricky too with this show is our life is our job and our job is our life.”

Fans of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ watched this season as Scheana and Lala forgave Ariana’s ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval and encouraged Ariana to do the same, despite Season 11 filming just three months after Ariana learned about the months-long affair Sandoval had behind her back with their former friend and co-star Rachel Leviss. The tension came to a head during the Season 11 finale when cast members–- notably Lala–- broke the fourth wall and vented their frustration over Ariana’s refusal to film one-on-one with her ex.

On her podcast, Scheana said as Ariana’s friend, she understands and respects her boundaries; however, as someone appearing on a reality TV show alongside Ariana, she feels a bit differently.

“As your coworker, there can be moments where it’s frustrating,” Scheana said. “So that’s how I feel about that.”

As The Ashley previously told you, production on Season 12 of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ is currently paused, with no filming happening this summer for the cast and, instead, the show reportedly going on hiatus for an unspecified period of time.

In the meantime, fans can continue watching the Season 11 aftermath unfold on the three-part finale, with part 2 slated to air Tuesday on Bravo.
