Southern Charm's Austen Kroll couldn't let the memory of Shep Rose's emotional text disappear.
Austen Kroll is turning Shep Rose's heartfelt text to his now-ex Sienna Evans into a lighthearted moment.
The Southern Charm-er took to his Instagram Story on April 9 to share that he had Shep's final plea to Sienna memorialized on a mug.
The By the Way part owner posted a picture of him enjoying his new mug in the living room of his South Carolina house. "Rise and shine," he captioned the post.
What did Shep Rose's text to Sienna Evans say?
When the Charm-ers took a trip to the Bahamas, where Sienna lives, Shep expected that he would get to spend some much-needed quality time with the former Miss Bahamas. Instead, she avoided all of the group activities, choosing instead to attend a few of the dinners.
On the final morning of the trip, which aired on Season 10, Episode 11, Shep decided to pour out his heart to Sienna in an emotional text.
"Good morning, Sienna. Listen, I love seeing you, and no one else makes me feel the way you do. No one. But I'm not going to try to convince someone that they love me for three days, especially when I know that deep down, they do," he wrote in the text. "Here's hoping that you understand my feelings and exalt them. I just don't feel this way almost ever. I know that you agree, and feel a lot of what I do, because I've heard it from your perfect little freckled lips. And those around us can say and think what they will, but we will have the last laugh. And we'll have love, laughter, and literally everything that matters. OK. My TED talk is over."
The Southern Charm cast reacts to Shep Rose's text to Sienna Evans
Shep's castmates weighed in on the text during the Southern Charm After Show.
"It was very long, and there's all this s--t," Rodrigo Reyes said, before referring to the message as "kind of cringy."
"If there's one thing you don't do, it's send a long text," Shep's ex, Taylor Ann Green, said.
Craig Conover pointed out how lengthy the text was.
"They were like, full swipes," he said, and Madison LeCroy added that she "would never read a text that long."
"Sum it up, make it shorter, less thirsty, and less like a simp," she joked.
Newbies Molly O'Connell and Salley Carson applauded Shep for expressing himself.
"Shep has a way with words," Molly said. "It's not often that someone has a bigger vocabulary than I do. It was poetic. It was beautiful, I thought."
Salley added, "If somebody texted me that, and I was into him, I'd be like, 'Let's have babies today.' "He does deserve to be loved the way that she was loved by him."
Austen, who was sitting next to Shep, said, "Do I think that it was cringy? Yes. But, I respect the honesty that he had with it. Don't listen to anything other than your heart."
