Kyle Cooke and Craig Conover are attempting to hash out their issues in a new Summer House preview.A feud has been brewing between Kyle Cooke and Craig Conover for nearly a year since Craig invested in the sparking cocktail Spritz Society (a competitor to Kyle’s Loverboy) last April, and we’re finally seeing the two confront each other in this preview for Summer House’s Season 9, Episode 7 (set to air Wednesday, March 26).
“I would have loved to just talk when we first got here,” Kyle says as the two sit in a boat during the group's Shipwrecked party. “But my goal is to just put this to bed. Focus on us. Go back to a world where we can go on double dates. Go back to a world that you and I are like—"
“But like you are the only one that made this like a thing,” Craig interrupts.
Why is Kyle Cooke upset with Craig Conover over his spritz deal?
Kyle felt his friendship with Craig through his then-girlfriend Paige DeSorbo should have meant loyalty to Loverboy. As he tells the Southern Charm-er in the Summer House Episode 7 preview, “Look, I’ve known you for six years, bro. If I know my friend spent his blood, sweat and tears building something, the last thing I’m doing is getting into bed with a direct competitor.”
Craig disagrees, replying, “But you’re keeping money out of people’s pockets.”
When Kyle notes that his beef was with “how [Craig] went about it," Craig says, “What do you mean how I went about it? Even if I never told you about it, doing the deal that I did does not affect Loverboy. I know you didn’t want me to do it, [but] I was approached with a deal. I came and I told you about the deal. And then I took the deal. You just texted me and you said, ‘Please don’t do the deal.’”
“I didn’t say don’t do it. I said, ‘Give me a chance to respond,’” Kyle tells Craig. “You should have just been honest with me and been like, ‘Listen. This deal is kind of done.’ Whether you’d signed or not, it was already — like the ship sailed.”
“I said, ‘It’s just business.’ And you hated that,” Craig replies. “You were like, ‘That’s what people who are doing something shady say.’ And I don’t feel bad about it. Like, I don’t."
