They ended up finding Nathalia, and they hit it off to some extent. Garrick was close to marrying her and left for Brazil, i.e., her home country, to be with her for a month before the wedding. Nathalia was supposed to move with the Merrifields to the US after this. But during the same month, Dannielle realized she was pregnant for the third time.

This pregnancy caused a lot of stir between their dynamics. Garrick had mentioned in one of his confessionals that he was trying to conceive with Nathalia, too, but it didn’t work out. On the other hand, Dannielle got the good news. That’s not all. A judge in Brazil also didn’t approve of Garrick and Nathalia’s union, so he had to go back without marrying her.

After getting back Dannielle and Garrick began contemplating adding a third wife in their family. They began courting Mariam and also invited her to stay in their Colorado home. This was the ultimate act of betrayal for Nathalia when she found out. The Brazilian woman mentioned how Garrick had assured her they won’t be adding more wives until she begins living with them.

Hence, Nathalia thought Garrick had clearly gone against his words. Following this, she called off the arrangement a day after this. Dannielle also mentioned this in her confessional. But before that could happen, she called the entire thing off. As mentioned above, Garrick and Dannielle’s decision to add one more wife was the final nail in the coffin. The Brazilian woman mentioned how Garrick at one point began expecting her to “fully submit” to him. This aspect of their relationship made Nathalia extremely uncomfortable. So, it was also one of the reasons why she decided to part ways with the family. Since this fiasco, she has continued to pursued her law degree in Brazil.
