RHOA's Shamea Morton also opened up about how she met her husband.
When Shamea Morton Mwangi returned to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for Season 16 to make her debut as a full-time 'Wife, she gave viewers a new look at her marriage to Gerald Mwangi.
While hosting a birthday party at her and Gerald's $9 million home, Shamea opened up about her husband's career.
"He's an African king," Shamea said in an interview on the Season 16 premiere before laughing. "That is totally not true. No, he does HVAC."
She added, "Some of the airports you walk through, my husband has built, manufactured, and installed the HVAC. So, there you have it."
According to his LinkedIn, Gerald is the president of Dominion Energy Management Inc.
Shamea is a singer, radio host, dancer, and performer.
The peach holder met her now-husband at a club in October 2014. "I met Gerald, my Kenyan king, at Rose Bar Nightclub," she said on the Season 16 premiere. "He's like, 'Help yourself to some drinks.' I'm like, 'Thank you.' He says nothing else to me the whole night. So, I'm like, '[He's] gotta have a lot of baggage. Nobody's just letting this good man walk around Atlanta."
Gerald then invited Shamea over for a family dinner. The rest, as they say, is history.
Shamea and Gerald tied the knot on July 22, 2017 in Kenya. She gushed about their romance in an interview with The Daily Dish in April of that year.
"He is amazing. He is definitely Godsend. And they say you got to kiss a couple of frogs before you get your Prince Charming, and that is definitely what he is," she explained. "I think about where I was five years ago even, and I think about where I am now, and all I can say is, ‘God, he is so good, and he is so merciful, and he is so understanding, and he is so patient and forgiving.' And it’s nothing but his work that brought us together."
Gerald and Shamea are the parents of two daughters, Shya and Shiloh.
Shya was born in 2018. The couple welcomed their youngest, Shiloh, via surrogate in February 2023. Shamea and Gerald used Shadina Blunt to carry their daughter, who previously helped Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker welcome their youngest daughter, Blaze Tucker.
The couple is interested in expanding their family again, as Gerald would like to have a son.
