When it was announced that Gretchen Rossi would rejoin The Real Housewives of Orange County, Shannon Storms Beador was among the returning cast members who welcomed Gretchen back to the franchise. But has Shannon’s feelings toward Gretchen changed since production kicked off? Apparently not.
“I am excited about it,” Shannon recently told Us Weekly about Gretchen’s return. “And she’s very kind. She’s been nothing but sweet to me, so I think she’s going to be a good addition. And we just started filming so… We just finished [shooting] week three and the drama’s already starting.”
Gretchen reacts to Shannon's rocky friendship with Tamra Judge
Shannon didn’t provide details on the RHOC disputes, but was optimistic that the upcoming season would be much easier than the last... at least for her. As fans might recall, Season 18 found Shannon navigating multiple relationship issues, including a highly publicized fallout with Tamra Judge.
Gretchen weighed in on Tamra and Shannon’s rollercoaster friendship in a 2021 interview with Us Weekly, suggesting that Tamra was the cause of the on-camera rifts.
“[Tamra and her] best friend Shannon and her [are] no longer friends,” she said. “So, after a while, you start to look at the common denominator and you start to go, ‘OK, well who’s the problem here?’ Because in most of those relationships, she was the one that always was causing the drama or the issue.”
Where do Gretchen and Tamra stand ahead of RHOC Season 19?

Gretchen joined RHOC in Season 4 and exited in Season 8, a year before Shannon was introduced to the cast. During Gretchen's time as a Housewife, she and Tamra developed a complicated relationship in which they frequently butted heads. The two ultimately cut ties after Gretchen left the series over a decade ago and have yet to publicly bury the hatchet.
Tamra previously revealed she was open to a reconciliation, but it's safe to say her longtime foe wasn't interested. This became quite apparent when Gretchen shared her thoughts on Tamra’s Season 18 beef with Jennifer Pedranti.
“It seems like she can never be loyal to anyone (especially her so called friends),” Gretchen wrote in a 2024 Instagram Story. “I saw exactly who she was back then & was never afraid to call her out.”
While it’s unclear where Tamra stands with Gretchen today, her relationship with Shannon has seemingly improved. The two made amends after Season 18 production wrapped and exchanged a hug during the reunion special.
Shannon reflects on Bravo's Love Hotel: "I can't wait"

Shannon is now gearing up for the premiere of Bravo's Love Hotel, a dating reality series in which she and other Bravo women attempt to find “their happily ever after.” The OC divorcee teased the show during her recent sit-down with Us Weekly.
“It was so much fun. I’m really excited to see it,” she said. “It was a lot of fun getting to know the girls. A lot of friendships were formed so I can’t wait.”
Shannon will be joined by The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Gizelle Bryant and Ashley Darby and The Real Housewives of New York City alum Luann de Lesseps.
Per the show’s announcement: “The ladies will head to the Grand Velas Boutique Hotel in Los Cabos, Mexico, where they will mix and mingle with a group of eligible bachelors, each vying for the chance to win their hearts and put the ‘wives’ back in ‘Housewives.’”
Shannon said she bonded with all the women “equally” and “had a good time”… for the most part.
“I will say there was drama but I will not say who,” she teased. “But I will tell you I was involved with that drama… You’ll have to tune in.”
RHOC Season 19 and Bravo's Love Hotel are set to premiere on Bravo later this year.
