Sharna Burgess Defends Husband Brian Austin Green After Machine Gun Kelly Co-Parenting Drama

Sharna Burgess is defending her family.

On Thursday, March 27, the Dancing with the Stars pro, 39, posted a statement on her Instagram Stories after her husband Brian Austin Green, 51, reshared a fiery direct message he'd received from Machine Gun Kelly, 34. Green shares three of his kids — Noah Shannon, 12, Bodhi Ransom, 10 and Journey River, 8 — with Megan Fox, 38, who is expecting a baby girl with Kelly.

"When kids are in a split household the greatest thing we can do is make them love and feel safe in both homes, like both homes are also friends and share love and communication," Burgess began.

"We work to always keep our language and experiences positive, and when talking about their other home we always talk about it with love and support," she continued. "A successful co-parenting relationship starts with communication and respect."

Burgess went on to say that Green's kids with Fox are very excited for their mom to welcome another baby and have been continually asking them when she will arrive.

"Our kids are so excited about the arrival of their baby sister and we are excited FOR them," Burgess said. "They have been asking us nearly every day of her arrival for about a month now. Naturally when they ask us to find out how mama is doing, we say no problem and do just that."

"Being a step parent requires (among other things) selflessness, empathy, loyalty, honesty, an open heart and patience," Burgess said. "If these are not qualities you consider yourself to have or be able to develop, than [sic] you should ask yourself if you deserve to be in their lives. Because they deserve the absolute best."

Earlier on Thursday, Green reshared a screenshot of his DMs with Kelly, born Colson Baker, on his Instagram Stories after the singer, 34, messaged him to chastise Green for repeatedly asking when his baby with Fox is due.

"Stop asking when our child is gonna be born. you the FEDS 🐀👮‍♂️," Kelly wrote to Green. "Quit calling TMZ and focus on that apology you owe me for speaking my name in public."

"You chose the wrong one to f--- with mr child actor. go back to cereal commercials," he added.

Underneath the photo on his Instagram Stories, Green wrote, "😂😂😂😂 I didn't know 'child actor' was something bad."

"Leo, careful," Green continued, seemingly referencing Leonardo DiCaprio. "He may be coming for you next 🤣🤣🤣🤣."

Burgess also responded to other parts of Kelly's message, writing, "lol 👀👀👀👀 That was about the equivalent of a dog pissing on its territory making it known it's back in the area."

"So eloquently put too. Bravo," she added. Alongside her stepkids, Burgess and Green share son Zane, 2.
