Ozzy Osbourne got through filming The Osbournes with the help of marijuana, says his wife Sharon.

The TV personality is currently a contestant on the British series Celebrity Big Brother, and she spoke on a recent episode about Ozzy's penchant for getting "stoned" while filming their family's MTV reality show.

In response to another CBB contestant reflecting on watching the series, which ran for four seasons from 2002-2005, Sharon said of Ozzy, "He was stoned on every episode."

"He was never sober," revealed the former The Talk host, 71, before adding of her 75-year-old husband, "He's never seen it, doesn't want to see it, and he never watched one episode."

The spouses now co-host The Osbournes Podcast with daughter Kelly and son Jack — but it's quite unlikely the family's reality show will ever see a reboot. During a November 2023 episode of the podcast, Kelly said the TV series had “a massive negative effect" on her mental health.

“Imagine having to relive every conversation you’ve ever had throughout a 24-hour period or six month period, and then all of a sudden people are judging everything you’ve said,” Kelly, 39, said. “You’re just like, ‘Wait I just thought I was having a normal conversation, now this person hates me.’ It’s crazy. It just made me so insecure.”

The Black Sabbath rocker acknowledged the original Osbournes series was the "best diary" for the future, though he noted that filming made him "a bit crazy at times."

“It’s so intrusive in your house,” Ozzy said. “At the time, I said I wanted a safe room where I could go and pick my nose and squeeze a zit if I want to without being on camera, and they had a f---ing camera in there. When you’ve got hidden cameras, you start to freak out.”

The "Crazy Train" musician recalled the show getting more "unreal" as its seasons went on, to which Jack, 36, said that's “why I don’t think we’ll ever do another season."

“It won’t happen again. Never in a million years," Ozzy concluded, to which Jack agreed: “To be honest with you, I don’t think it should."

The family has also spoken about Ozzy's marijuana usage. During an episode last year, Sharon recalled a time when she pooped in his stash during a vacation to discourage him from smoking — which angered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member.

In another episode from last year, Ozzy said marijuana "should be legalized everywhere."

"I will say this, it definitely is a gateway drug," he claimed. "But I’d rather have people smoke marijuana than smoke tobacco. Tobacco, without any second thought, is the most addictive thing I ever put in my body."
