Sheriff Country Cast

Morena Baccarin as Sheriff Mickey Fox – JOINING!

Sheriff Mickey Fox was first introduced on Fire Country in the April episode, “Alert the Sheriff.”

Mickey is not only the step-sister of Sharon (Diane Farr), but she also had a hand in putting Sharon’s son Bode (Max Thieriot) behind bars before he joined the Cal Fire firefighting program.

“Our backstory is that Mickey’s dad was an original resident [in Edgewater] and he got busted for growing weed,” says Joan Rater, who wrote the episode with Tony Phelan that was directed by Max Thieriot, via Deadline. “And if you’re a kid who has that kind of chaos happen early in your life, it would make sense to us that you would want to avoid chaos at all costs. You would want to believe in order and rules and law and order. And so she’s a person who likes order, but she knows everybody in town. It gives her a unique perspective.”

“Because of her unique background, she’s somebody who firmly believes in the law as a force against chaos, and she deeply cares about this community,” added Tony. “She’s grown up here in a very real sense, the community saved her when her parents ran into trouble early on. So I think a lot of her journey is in discovering her own power and her own ability to take care of these people.”

Diane Farr

Diane Farr as Sharon – JOINING!

Diane made comments in December 2024 that confirmed she’ll be exploring her character’s relationship with her step-sister, Mickey, in Sheriff Country.

“I’m so excited to develop this relationship among sisters that’s not squishy. They are so tough with each other, and it’s the only place where Sharon has no status. She has broken things, she has done things poorly. She’s like low man on the totem pole, and the other person is constantly chewing her, like, on her. That’s what I’m so excited [for]. Like, we always laugh that it’s so fun to see two sisters with no treacle, they’re just hard with each other. But I love Sharon having no status, like she’s constantly questioning herself, because we never see her do that anywhere else,” she told Cinemablend at the end of 2024.

Christopher Gorham

Michele Weaver

Michele Weaver – JOINING!

Recent The Pitt guest star Michele Weaver has also joined the cast!

She’ll portray Cassidy, “a deputy in the Edgewater County Sheriff’s Office who was inspired by Mickey to join law enforcement. Cassidy places Mickey on a pedestal but must now figure out what kind of deputy she wants to be.”

Matt Lauria

Matt Lauria – JOINING!

Matt Lauria has been cast as the co-lead in the upcoming series, as of April 2025.
