What to expect on Days of our Lives
The last thing that Johnny (Carson Boatman) and EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) expected after their reconciliation in Horton Town Square was for Johnny to be arrested minutes after all seemed well in their world again. EJ was so relieved to learn that Johnny did not shoot him after all; it never occurred to him that Johnny could still be a suspect.
Johnny immediately proclaims his innocence as his father jumps to his defense. EJ insists that Johnny didn't do it, and he can somehow prove it. Does EJ realize he needs to watch the rest of what is on that memory stick, as it may have the answers he's been looking for?
EJ was so shocked when the video showed Johnny with a gun that EJ shut the video off immediately and hid the evidence. Now, he has it back in his possession. However, the video will still show Johnny waving a gun around, so it might not be everything father and son need to free Johnny and exonerate him.
Rafe's fury
When Rafe (Galen Gering) went to Jada (Elia Cantu) with what Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) told him, he never expected his former fiancée to arrest his former stepson before he could blink. He even insisted to Jada that Johnny was innocent. He knew there was no way that the boy he helped raise could actually try to kill someone.
Rafe wants to know why Jada jumped the gun (so to speak) and arrested Johnny on such flimsy evidence? Did she discover something more that could prove Johnny was guilty? Rafe now feels guilty because he trusted Jada and never expected things to get this out of hand. How will he ever explain this to Sami (Alison Sweeney)?
As for Chanel (Raven Bowens), she is also furious and rips into her mother. After all, Paulina (Jackee Harry) is the mayor, and what happens within the police department often falls under her purview. She can't believe her mother would allow this to happen to Johnny, of all people. Is there anything Paulina can do to help?
