Sһould tһe Red Sox try to асquіre Wһіte Sox асe?

Boston Red Sox fans are interested in Chicago White Sox ace Garrett Crochet after the team said he was being shopped, per Bob Nightengale.

Should the Red Sox try to acquire White Sox ace? image

This season, Crochet had a 3.58 ERA, a 6-12 record, and 209 strikeouts, which was the seventh-most strikeouts in the MLB this season. Crochet is also a lefty, which the Sox have none of in their starting rotation.

His record being bad and his ERA being a little high are probably due to being on the White Sox, who became the worst baseball team in modern history this season, with 121 losses.

Crochet also got his 209 strikeouts while being on an innings restriction for the second half of the season. So, he got 209 strikeouts even when he was only pitching four innings since July.

Crochet would be a great pickup for the Sox. They are definitely a better team than the White Sox, and he could honestly be the ace for the team if he has the offseason to work with pitching coach Andrew Bailey.

The Sox also have the assets to get him, as their farm is stacked. Crochet could be traded for someone like Kutter Crawford and a couple prospects.

If the Sox could get him and sign an ace in free agency, their starting rotation would easily be the best or one of the best in the MLB.
