Simon Cowell Reveals He Turned Down Racy $150,000 Offer

The lucrative offer was a fitting choice for the talent judge.

Simon Cowell is known for his honest and often brutal evaluations of talent show contestants on shows like "American Idol" and "America's Got Talent."

Cowell's demeanor and signature scowl turned him into a star in the early 2000s, and he's used his fame and fortune to help others break into and succeed in the music industry.

Cowell's evaluations have become the stuff of legend, but he recently revealed that he turned down one of the more interesting offers he's received from a fan in his career.

During an appearance on the "How to Fail with Elizabeth Day" podcast, Cowell reflected on what fans ask him most when they see him on the street. The TV personality said that most fans ask him to be mean to them, and he would often turn them down.

Cowell then explained that one couple wanted the former "X-Factor" judge to delve deeper into their personal lives.

The couple asked Simon to judge them while they were intimate with one another, and offered him $150,000 to do so. Cowell says he turned down the offer, but admitted that he gave it some consideration before ultimately saying no.

Cowell has amassed a million-dollar empire thanks his eye for talent and the collaborative efforts of the musicians he's worked with as a producer and record executive. He is the creator of both "X Factor" and the "Got Talent" series, both of which have been seen and enjoyed by fans all over the world.

Cowell has worked with acts like One Direction, Fifth Harmony, Little Mix, Leona Lewis, Westlife and Susan Boyle in his career, and he's been able to turn some of those artists into global pop sensations and household names.

American fans love Cowell for his candor and brutal honesty, qualities that made his appearances on the original "American Idol" into must-see TV.

Cowell has become more lenient with certain acts on state, but it's clear that he has the eye for talent - even in places that some may not expect.

Cowell's proposition from the couple was certainly unexpected, but Cowell was able to walk away without issue. We'll see if the admission inspires other fans to approach him with similarly bold requests.
