Simon Cowell stopped a singer's audition on Britain's Got Talent requesting for her to perform a different song

In the latest episode of Britain's Got Talent, judge Simon Cowell interrupted a performance by Welsh contestant Louise Hall midway through her audition.

Hailing from South Wales, Simon requested Louise to switch to a different song during her performance.

After introducing herself to the panel of judges, which included Simon, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioili, Louise, a teacher, expressed her love for singing.

Before commencing her performance, she confessed her nerves but stated her ambition "to win," emphasising that victory would transform her life and that of her daughter.

However, only a few seconds into her rendition of Jacob Banks' 'Something Beautiful,' Simon halted the performance.

He interjected, asking: "Sorry, do you have a second song?" Fortunately, Louise had another song prepared.

The head judge advised her, saying: "I think if you are going to do this, this obviously means a lot to you, I think you've really got to stop overthinking this for a second and just let go. That was kinda like, what I call a polite audition."

Determined to "fight" for her place, Louise launched into her second song, Jennifer Hudson's I'm Telling You, impressing most of the judges and the live audience.Louise Hall

Following her performance, she received a standing ovation from the crowd, with presenter Declan Donnelly commenting: "That was something else," reports Wales Online.

Bruno exclaimed: "Oh my God! The clarity and the projection of your voice, I've hardly ever heard. Only really the top top top of the business have that clarity, it is incredible."

However, Simon was initially hesitant to join in the praise, stating: "Look, Louise, I like you. That was adrenaline, you just let go, you are very talented but I think, god, we have had better singers than you this year."

In the end, Simon was persuaded, giving Louise a yes vote and ensuring she secured a unanimous pass to the next

The episode offered more memorable moments from the outset as the four judges, alongside hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec, responded with emotion to an unexpected audition on the red carpet, leaving Amanda Holden visibly moved.

The show began with judges Amanda, Simon, Bruno, and Alesha making a star-studded entrance, only to be taken aback when the audience spontaneously performed Electric Light Orchestra Mr. Blue Sky to mark their arrival.
