This week’s slow burn involves a murder mystery that’s heating up The Young and the Restless. The guests have been trapped in Cane’s maze since late June. It’s safe to say that they’re not leaving anytime soon, even though there’s a threat lurking around the hedges. Cane is going to lock everyone down to solve this mystery. That means no one is safe.

Lost In The Maze

This was supposed to be the biggest party of the year. Most of Genoa City’s elite were invited to Aristole Dumas’s media party. Now, they have found out that Dumas isn’t an elusive and hidden billionaire. He turned out to be Cane (Billy Flynn), who amassed his wealth by investing in businesses and properties. And now he wants his hands on more businesses. But it’s not about success and money; it’s more about revenge.

Murder Mystery

Things have taken a deadly turn. Damian (Jermaine Rivers) died after someone plunged a knife into his back. Prior to that, he was having a drink with Cane. The two felt funny after someone poisoned them. Cane has been proclaiming that someone is out to kill him. Maybe that knife was meant for him. But Nick (Joshua Morrow) also found a bloody knife in his room. By the way, who would frame Nick? Could it be a scorned ex that’s after him and out for blood rather than love?

Is It All a Game?

Is this really a murder mystery party? Or is this an elaborate game that Cane has come up with? Maybe he’s not in danger after all. He could be using this to distract his guests so that they won’t try to escape. They’re already getting restless. They want to know why the roads and train tracks have been wiped out.
