Thursday was a day that new Indianapolis Colts TE Tyler Warren will never forget, as he heard his name called as a first round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Before he got the call from Chris Ballard and the Colts to be the 14th overall pick, though, someone thought it would be funny to pull a prank on Warren.

Before Warren got the call to make him a Colt, someone thought it would be funny to prank call the TE, telling him he would be drafted by the New York Jets. This is a truly disgusting thing for someone to do during what should be a magical day for these draft prospects. Warren wasn't the only one this happened to; Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders also got a fake call. A live stream at his family's draft party got a video of the call.
It will never amaze me how gross people can be sometimes. Thinking something like this is a good idea, or funny, is flat out wrong. Warren had to wait seven more selections after the Jets at seven to hear his name called as the Colts' selection at pick 14. So while these kids tried to ruin his big day, in the end it still feels like Warren came out on top, and has the chance to become the next great Colts TE.
