In some of our eyes, Sonja Morgan can do no wrong. She’s the straw that stirs the drink, but allegedly, she’s also the patron who doesn’t pay the tab. The Real Housewives of New York alum has been accused of trying to skip out on a $1,000 bill at a restaurant. The situation got so count of control that she’s no longer allowed at the restaurant.
Sonja Morgan was “hysterical” and “refused to pay” bill at Noho hotspot Tucci

The details of this story arrived via Page Six, who spoke with a source who said things played out like an episode of RHONY. It all went down at a restaurant called Tucci, which is a trendy Italian restaurant in Lower Manhattan.
According to the source, Sonja acted like a nightmare from the moment she showed up at the restaurant. She booked a reservation for three, only to show up with a party of five. Then, things went downhill when the $1,000 bill came to the table.
The insider recalled, “She was absolutely hysterical and refused to pay. It was like she was filming a Housewives episode, shouting, ‘I’m a celebrity!’”
Supposedly, Sonja has received free meals from this restaurant in the past. For some reason, she assumed that would be the case this time, too. The onlooker said she was saying that she doesn’t “pay” for food because people pay her to go to the restaurants. When asked about this, she said there was a “clear miscommunication.”
She explained, “I believed I was dining in exchange for a promotional post. I made that known to staff.”
Regardless, owner Max Tucci isn’t playing around with Sonja. He felt like she tried to take advantage of him and his staff. She eventually scrounged up the money to pay the bill and tip the staff, but he said she’s no longer welcome at the restaurant. They’ve probably got a picture of her face printed on the door.
“It’s not about me. Don’t do that to my staff,” the owner warned.
The Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
