The Real Housewives of New York alum had been trying to sell the townhouse for years before it finally happened. Unfortunately, she initially hoped to get more money. In recent years, Sonja has spent more and more time in Florida. She exited the show with the rest of her co-stars as the entire cast was replaced in 2022.
According to The Post, Sonja bought a waterfront condo in West Palm Beach, Florida – seemingly marking the end of her New York era.
The star downsized to the $600,000 home, which is 1,170 square feet and has two bedrooms and two baths. The condo also features a balcony with views of the water. Her Manhattan townhouse, on the other hand, was 5,500 square feet, and it had an elevator, five bedrooms, and five stories.
The Florida house was initially listed in 2023 for $910,000 before the price was slashed multiple times. The place is “move-in ready,” completely furnished, and has a tempered glass shower and coffered ceilings. The building amenities include a pool, gym, club room, and full-time doorman.
The enclosed kitchen is painted bright orange. A den opens to the waterfront-view balcony. Per the outlet, Sonja moved to Florida two months before selling her NYC townhouse, which was her home for a quarter of a century.
Back in April, Sonja addressed the sale of the townhouse.
“Many memories were made [at my townhouse] over the years, including hosting my daughter’s friends from boarding school and university, and so many noteworthy moments were filmed by NBC for Bravo and Peacock TV,” she told The New York Post. “This townhouse has been our cherished home for decades … In addition to raising my daughter here, we entertained heads of state, royalty, luminaries and Fortune 500 CEOs.”
She continued, “Now, as an empty nester, I am ready to share this turnkey, easy-to-manage jewel over to someone new to enjoy as we did.”
