Sonja Morgan Responds to Claims She’s Banned From NYC Restaurant After Bill Dispute

Sonja Morgan is the straw that stirs the drink. The Real Housewives of New York City alum will forever be remembered for her wacky antics on the show that made us laugh for so many seasons. Despite being off our TVs for a few years, Sonja always finds a way to make headlines, both good and bad.

This week, Sonja’s been in hot water in the New York City scene after a night out gone wrong. A popular restaurant, Tucci, claims Sonja dined and dashed, refusing to pay a $1,000 restaurant bill or tip. Even though Sonja’s bill has apparently been settled since the news broke, it’s still making waves online.

Now, Miss Sonjarita herself is chiming in to comment on all of the chaos in a subtle yet pointed way.

Sonja told Page Six that the entire situation was the result of “clear miscommunication” between her and the restaurant.

“I believed I was dining in exchange for a promotional post … I made that known to staff,” she said. Fair enough. Despite her side of things, Tucci stuck with its guns by blacklisting Sonja from the restaurant for good. Harsh.

In the meantime, Sonja is taking the high road by indulging in the art of subtle shade. She’s been active on Instagram this week, sharing two different posts to promote her recent meals at other New York City dining institutions.

Clearly, she’s not as unbothered as the restaurant by it. It looks like plenty of other restaurants are excited to welcome Sonja through their doors.
