‘Southern Charm’ Star Venita Aspen Reveals That She Slid Into a ‘Chicago P.D’ Star’s DMs

star Venita Aspen is moving on from Jarrett “JT” Thomas and has her eyes on a One Chicago cast member.

“There is a man that is on NBC that I have my eye on,” Venita, 31, revealed during a Thursday, March 20, appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “He’s a Chicago P.D. [star].”

Venita also told host Andy Cohen that she’s currently single, but did slide into the mystery man’s Instagram DMs.

“I just found him a couple of weeks ago and I think he’s handsome,” she continued. “I slid in his DMs and I said, ‘It’s so funny we work for the same network but we never ran into each other.’ I got a follow and a response.”

Social media users were quick to wonder if Venita was referring to LaRoyce Hawkins, who has played Kevin Atwater on the NBC show since its 2014 debut. Us Weekly can confirm that Venita and LaRoyce follow each other on Instagram — and we don’t see any other cast members on her follow list!

Venita has been candid with details regarding her love life after fellow Southern Charm cast member JT did her “so dirty” when they briefly dated.

“We started dating when I got back from New York in September [2024]. It was from September, October, November,” she told Us exclusively earlier this week. “Trying to figure out, ‘OK, are we doing this? Do we actually like each other? Is it because we’re around each other all the time?’”

JT posted his girlfriend, a woman named Ali Pereless, on Instagram, which is how she found out he was dating someone else. (JT, for his part, has downplayed his relationship with Venita. The pair will hash it out at the upcoming reunion.)

“I think it would’ve been nice to just have him be like, ‘Hey by the way, I’m dating someone else, and I’ve decided to go with her versus you,’” Venita continued. “I would not have cared. I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I appreciate you so much for saying something, being kind about it.’ But he didn’t do that.”

Ventia further claimed that season 10 of Southern Charm, which aired its season finale last night, has made her look like a “homewrecker” amid JT’s current romance.

“It’s so messy,” Venita added, noting that she wishes JT would speak out and admit he “caused all this.” When it comes to the future of their friendship, Ventia told Us that there’s no way back.

“Now the door’s completely shut. Closed and barred. Padlocked. No one’s getting here,” she said. “I was still trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and be like, just communicate with me and talk me through it.
