Stacey Rusch is following in the footsteps of Wendy Osefo‘s husband, Eddie Osefo, just like Gizelle Bryant suspected she would.

Just three months after Gizelle, 54, accused Stacey, 40, of being in the works on “[her] own Happy Eddie” line at the Real Housewives of Potomac season nine reunion, which Stacey denied, she took to her Instagram account to officially announce that she would be making history as “the first African American woman to launch a cannabis brand in Virginia.”

“Happy Juneteenth!” Stacey began in her June 19 post. “I’m so proud to celebrate the historical legacy of this day and also make history.”

In her message to her fans and followers, Stacey shared a press release, which confirmed she had partnered with Jushi Holdings on a cannabis-infused wellness brand called Shayo — a Nigerian term meaning “to be joyous and happy.”

“Shayo is about joy, rhythm, and living life fully,” Stacey explained in the release. “I’m so proud to bring this brand to my home state and help people discover a delicious new path to wellness.”

Stacey’s product is described as a “one-of-a-kind edible experience.”

“Not only is Rusch making waves in the wellness industry with this launch, but she’s leaving her mark in the history books as well. Rusch is the first Black woman to create a cannabis centered brand in the state of Virginia, a milestone which aligns beautifully with her passion for wellness and cultural exploration,” the press release stated.

After Stacey shared the post, she was, of course, met with plenty of congratulatory messages. However, she was also met with plenty of shady comments from RHOP viewers who recalled her reunion denials.

“[Stacey] I thought you said at the reunion Gizelle was lying? Omg!” one person exclaimed.

Others noted that Gizelle “wasn’t lying” and “never lies.”

“Like, girl!!! I’m so confused,” said someone else.

Someone else went into more detail about the events of the reunion.

“Ok congratulations! But how can we believe you now when at the reunion when Gizelle brought this up, you had no idea what she was talking about? Wendy said, ‘I would hope you would tell me about this’ … and you said … no you’re not starting a cannabis line … but now here we are and you ARE starting or buying into or promoting a cannabis line!” they declared.

“So [Gizelle Bryant] was right,” another fan added.

During the March 2025 airing of the RHOP season nine reunion, Wendy, 41, said that Eddie was doing “so well” with his cannabis line, which prompted Gizelle to ask Stacey, “Aren’t you trying to start your own Happy Eddie?”

“Oh, are you?” Wendy also wondered.

“No,” Stacey replied.

Gizelle pressed on, saying, “You don’t know what I’m talking about?” Then, Stacey doubled down.

“Absolutely not,” she insisted.

But Gizelle stood firm, stating, “When she comes out with Happy Stacey next season, don’t be surprised.”
