The Buffalo Bills didn't have a 1,000 yard receiver for the first time in six years this season. The man responsible for the previous 1,000 yard marks was Stefon Diggs, who in just four seasons in Buffalo became the team's fourth-leading receiver all time.
Diggs was traded to the Houston Texans in the offseason, having his multi-year contract restructured to a one-year deal. In his lone season in Houston, Diggs played just eight games before tearing his ACL on Oct 27, hauling in 47 catches for 496 yards and three touchdowns. At the time of the injury, Diggs was seventh in the NFL in receptions at the time of the injury.

Diggs, now a free agent, might be eyeing a return to the AFC East. Chad Graff of The Athletic reported that Diggs is in Foxboro Massachusetts, meeting with the New England Patriots.
"The Patriots badly need WR help and Diggs could provide that even if he may not be ready Week 1 as he recovers from an ACL tear." Graff wrote on X.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that it was Diggs' first free-agency visited.
Diggs' talent has been undeniable in his NFL career, especially once he departed the Minnesota Vikings for Buffalo. Diggs was named to four consecutive Pro Bowls as a Bill, including a First-Team All-Pro selection in 2020, where he led the NFL with 127 receptions and 1,535 yards.
In his career, Diggs has logged 10,491 yards and 70 touchdowns in his decade in the NFL.
Diggs has had questions surrounding his locker room presence and has drawn a reputation as being difficult to deal with. How he and young gunslinger Drake Maye would potentially get along is certainly a factor at play.
Diggs' health is another concern, just five months removed from ACL reconstruction surgery, Diggs may not be Week 1 ready as Graff wrote. The Patriots, however, are starved for receiver talent.
Coming off a 4-13 season where the Patriots were dead last in the NFL in passing yards, and second-to-last in passing touchdowns.
Were Diggs to return to the AFC East, you'd have to imagine the Bills defense would be eager to shut down their former teammate twice a year.
