Strictly Come Dancing star Saffron Barker has had to undergo emergency surgery and was taken to hospital, sharing her ordeal on Instagram.
The 24-year-old YouTube influencer posted an emotional image of herself in tears, sitting in a dentist's chair and holding a soft toy.
To accompany the poignant image, she wrote: "In the last week, iv been in hospital, had emergency surgery, got my rental car completely smashed up and every single thing i own stolen including my passport so cat get home."
Saffron later shared a quote that seemed to encapsulate her recent hardships. It said: "You've made it through things you once thought would break you. Don't forget to give yourself credit for that. You're stronger than you know, and there's more softness, more joy, and more magic ahead. Keep going."
In a light-hearted moment from just last week, the Strictly star uploaded a video showing her enjoying time in America with friends, giving a tour of her hotel room and sharing laughs.

On Saffron's TikTok page, a charming video captures her and new beau Josh Miln prepping for an evening out in a hotel room. The footage shows Saffron doing her hair and makeup before she dons a gorgeous red dress, with Josh assisting by tying the back.

The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, who danced alongside AJ Pritchard in the 2019 series, had candidly discussed a health scare the previous October, where she was hurried to the hospital due to "shooting pains" and developing "rashes all over my body".
At that time, Saffron narrated the frightening experience, pointing out how medics thought she might have caught a disease while on vacation.
She described her symptoms as such: "I had all the symptoms (of a tropical disease) being, rashes all over my body, headache, body aches, shooting pains in my body, temperature, sore throat and ears etc."
