Strictly Come Dancing's Aljaz Skorjanec admits 'dread' without Janette Manrara after emotional exchange

Aljaz Skorjanec has admitted his 'dread' after being without Janette Manrara, which comes after he shared their emotional exchange during their time apart.

The Strictly Come Dancing star has been spending time in Slovenia with his family, having jetted off alongside his and Janette's young daughter, Lyra Rose.

Janette is currently back on tour with the musical Chicago having taken on the lead role in the show earlier this year. Fans will recall that Janette made her stage debut in the iconic role of Roxie Hart back in March, before recently taking a break - but not of the rest kind.

She instead has been busy performing alongside her husband Aljaz in their own show, A Night To Remember, which visited venues up and down the country.

It was last month that Janette returned to Chicago and she shared last month on social media that the would be spending longer than usual away from Aljaz and their daughter as he was taken her on holiday to visit his family in Slovenia.

Aljaz has now shared a sweet update, posting a picture to his Instagram page from when he and Lyra were at the airport at the start of their journey.

Alongside the post, the professional dancer candidly admitted: "I remember how much I was dreading travelling on my own with the little one for the first time… Now…. I CANT WAIT FOR IT. Cheers to the lovely chap who took the photo in the Check in line.."

Janette was quick to respond, as she commented on the post: "Not long before we’re together again!" But fans were distracted by Aljaz's luggage.

@dove.interiordesign said: "Some serious skills going on managing those massive cases, buggy and a toddler. Safe journey." @sousxie commented: "Omg how long you going for, you got enough luggage for a family of 4 .... safe travels have a great time."

@sonjahalseyizaguirre joked: "Does Janette know you've taken everything and moved out?!" @juliesaville28 replied: "You’ve got your hands full." @kerry__lawrence added: "Oh my lord, how did you manage 2 large suitcases and a pushchair?! Super dad."

It was earlier this week that Aljaz took to his Instagram Story with a photo of one of their FaceTime calls. The Strictly pro could be seen alongside Lyra while Janette appeared the other side of the phone.

She seemingly had tears in her eyes, showing the emotion of being away from her family. But alongside the post, Aljaz encouraged: "We got this," before adding a face holding back tears emoji.

It was then on Wednesday (July 2) that Janette shared a picture of Aljaz and Lyra to her main Instagram grid and simply said: "Missing them."
