Strictly Come Dancing's Pasha Kovalev reveals shift in Rachel Riley marriage after six years

Former Strictly Come Dancing favourite Pasha Kovalev has spilled the beans on the success of his blissful marriage with Countdown's Rachel Riley.

The duo initially crossed paths while strutting their stuff together on the BBC hit show in 2013 and struck up their romance a year later.

Zoom ahead to today, and the lovebirds have tied the knot and are now doting parents to two little girls; Maven, five, and Noa, three, Edinburgh Live reports.

In discussing their six-year-strong marriage, the dance maestro, 45, credits constant communication and finding fun activities they can relish as a couple for avoiding the humdrum of everyday life.

Both have recently undergone health check-ups with Bupa and, and have incorporated more exercise into their routines to boost their muscle strength.

"And, it's something you do because you love doing it, but at the same time, you get the benefits of running around and keeping active, and the muscles get engaged.

"Plus, she gets lots of positivity from it because she always wins."

Pasha reveals that beyond their newfound joint sports endeavour, they continue to cherish dancing together whenever they snatch some time for a date night.

Additionally, the dancer expressed that they both have a shared enthusiasm for globetrotting, taking pleasure in discovering diverse cultures and their culinary delights.

Pasha mentioned that, just like any couple, they've had moments where they have "failed" to get the balance right but now they feel less remorseful about occasionally stepping away from family duties.

He said: "I think those things are so helpful in a relationship. Find what you like together and start doing it together, even if it's once in a while.

"If you try and do so many of those things, then you enrich your personal life and your relationship. We definitely love each other more because of that, we have so many things in common."

Once they mulled over how to get fit together, Rachel proposed the idea of regular Squash matches, and ever since then, they've enjoyed hitting the court against each other.

He shared his enthusiasm: "We try to do it every week, at least once a week, we've been successful so far. She loves playing, I [had] never played it until I started doing it with Rachel, but it's great exercise, it keeps you active, it keeps your heart going.
