Strictly Come Dancing's Pete Wicks issues apology to Jowita Przystal months after show

Former The Only Way Is Essex star Pete Wicks was partnered with Jowita Przystal on Strictly Come Dancing last year and the pair have remained close friends

Pete Wicks has extended an apology to his dance partner Jowita Przystal after he was spotted showing off his dance moves, months following their stint on Strictly Come Dancing. The reality TV star and podcast/radio host participated in the 2024 series of the popular BBC One dance competition, where he was teamed up with former champion Jowita.

Strictly fans watched as the duo danced their way to the semi-finals last year, narrowly missing out on a spot in the grand finale. They bid farewell to the show during week 12, after finding themselves in the dance-off for the first time during the second-to-last week of the contest, against eventual finalists Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec.

However, Pete and Jowita were back on the Strictly dance floor just a week later for the final of the 20th-anniversary series.

Audiences saw the 2024 cohort return for one last vibrant group number, where they revisited some of their standout moments from the past 12 weeks.

Despite their impressive run on the show, it was a disappointment for fans when it was announced that Pete wouldn't be joining the Strictly Come Dancing Live 2025 tour, while Jowita would be part of the ensemble line-up.

Pete issued an apology to Jowita

Away from the dance floor, Pete and Jowita have maintained a strong friendship and are often seen publicly supporting each other. However, Jowita had a few questions when she caught sight of Pete's dancing.

The celeb was captured on camera hilariously re-enacting a moment from The Inbetweeners film with his best mate Sam Thompson.

They had James Buckley, famed for his role as Jay Cartwright in the E4 series and its film spin-offs, guest-starring on their podcast Staying Relevant.

An Instagram caption for the video boasted: "Pete's strictly moves coming in handy. Watch the James Buckley episode over on our YouTube now #stayingrelevant #samandpete #podcast #Jamesbuckley #inbetweeners."

Rochelle Humes couldn't resist chiming in, flooding the comments with tears of joy emojis. Pete himself even quipped in response: "I'm sorry @jowitaprzystal."

His dance partner Jowita saw the humour in it though, harking back to one of their Strictly 2024 acts as she remarked: "Channelling George with those bare feet."

She took to her Instagram Story too, sharing the video along with her amusement: "Don't remember teaching you those moves... @p_wicks01."
